Creative Tools: Humor (Video)

by Gopal Ramasammy-Cook (Career-Creative Coach, ZestWare)

The jester, clown, comedian, or humorist is a key character among the creative archetypes. Far from being a frivolous pastime, humor holds up an often clarifying mirror for us to view ourselves, and a lens through which to scrutinize the world.

Sir Ken Robinson's entertaining and profoundly moving talk is about creativity and the education system. It is not specifically about humor, but it also happens to be one of the funniest presentations I've seen. I think it illustrates well the role the jester can play in creating and conveying a perspective that makes us look at old facts with new eyes.
